This past week the aurora borealis was visible throughout the United States. I found myself more than a little bit petulant about Seattle’s cloud cover. But then, after a few days away, I came home to this glorious sunset which I count every bit as spectacular as the collision of solar winds and gases. Of course I seriously still want to witness a night sky that gets everyone talking about the same thing, but this is my reminder to not overlook everyday magic as well.
