Even despite two very tedious travel days, our one day in the city was everything and more that I hoped it would be. I got the chance to put my nose (nearly) to Wayne Thiebaud canvases and try to break down the layers. My takeaway: there’s an energetic underpainting that glows and vibrates with life.
Look for the parts that glow
Wayne Thiebaud is a favorite. I always feel joyful when I see his work. There is something about the colors that makes me feel happy.
