become a safe space for others... It’s time to rest and take care. Find a safe place, become a safe space for others. Then, when you can, shine light and dignity into the dark — it looks like love. In the absence of light, color fades. Not on my watch.
I am new to your resources and must say that I found comfort in your beautifully expressed feelings today. I too feel a horrible lost that I can't explain and have never been so ashamed of my country. What happened to decency? However, I too love nature and art and it is interacting with both that gives me peace and the ability to put one foot in front of the other. I look forward to future postings exhibiting beautiful colors that do light up my world. Thank you!
Thank you Linda. Love and light endure even in the darkest dark. I hope we can all turn the shame we feel for what this election apparently reveals into something positive for our immediate communities where we CAN make a difference. The rest will likely take a while.
Lorene, sorry to hear that you are in such a dark place after this past week. It is dark the world over and I give thanks I don't live in the Ukraine, Gaza, North Korea and the list goes on. And daily and in a million ways God shows us his love for us. You, see it in the natural world around you and share it so brilliantly with others. What if, despite or in spite of political issues, we 'all' share this love with others. Why does it take government to legislate how we treat each other? We should love our family, love our neighbor, love our community and build it up, every day. It may feel dark to you, but love surrounds us all and always.
Thank you. It's true, feeling loss and pain and fear opens my heart to others who are struggling with even greater challenges. Love is always the answer.
The sad and devastating part of this whole conversation is that the media has convinced you of all these issues. Nothing you said is in any way true. If you would go to the source and see what is actually being said by our new President and the others that are supporting him, you would learn something. I’m also appalled that you liberals think it is fair to let men play in women’s sports , abort late term babies, let criminals loose all over our country, etc.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion however you dont know me well enough to declare my truth to be false. The disrespect and diminishing of others is never productive
Beautifully written thoughts. Thank you for saying what I couldn’t seem to pull together. 🩵
I rely on writing to find out what I'm thinking/feeling. Believe me, I was at a loss before I put my fingers on the keyboard. xo

Thank you! 💔
Thank you for this reminder.
Dark times indeed… thank you for your words of wisdom, and hope, in looking for the little things that bring joy in our daily lives. Never stop!
Thank you dear one. It's a wise trope: writers write what they need to read. Onward~ xo
Your art is a solace in worrying times. Thank you for sharing it.
I bought Becoming Duchess Goldblatt after reading your original post and finally opened it yesterday. What a delight!
I've thought a lot about Duchess this week. As always, she's a comforting minx. xo
🙏
Thank you. I needed that.
take good care dear one
