After so many years of cramming my being into one working schedule or another for some company or another, I finally branched out to working for myself. This was many, many years ago and I remained steadfast in the classic mindset of starting each day early and being exhausted by nightfall. I was slow to experiment with loosening up that schedule even though I had no husband or children to accommodate. Long story short, I allow myself to sleep and work as each day and night unfolds. Some would say I am still a workaholic as I rarely have any days off. But, I am lucky in that I love what I do and am perhaps happiest when working. Life has trade-offs and finding the ones that work can take a while. But you know it when things feel better.
Thank you for this expansion on my offering.

You’ve described the sometimes expansive, nearly always crammed hours of my working life in a way that makes sense! Thank you
